PRESIDENT AND PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT
Erick Welborn is a seasoned professional who helps organizations remove uncertainty, reduce risk, and create safer environments. After more than 20 years in the U.S. military—where safety, security, and mission readiness were non-negotiable—Erick now brings that same level of discipline and expertise to businesses, nonprofits, and private clients.
A retired Army Officer and combat veteran, Erick’s background spans combat arms, human intelligence, interrogation, reconnaissance and surveillance, anti-terrorism/force protection, operations, and strategic planning. His success at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels allows him to evaluate threats, identify vulnerabilities, and deliver security solutions that actually work in the real world.
Today, Erick specializes in comprehensive safety and security assessments, helping organizations understand their risks, strengthen their defenses, and build cultures of safety. His approach blends physical-security principles with modern organizational needs—including safety compliance, OSHA alignment, workplace violence prevention, and emergency preparedness.
In addition to assessment and consulting work, Erick provides protection training for teams and individuals. His programs include active-shooter readiness and resiliency training, workplace safety programs, and security awareness training—all designed to empower people with clear, practical, life-saving skills.
Erick also brings extensive hands-on protection experience, having supported clients ranging from nonprofits to ultra-high-net-worth families both domestically and internationally. He has served as both a solo protector and as part of professional protection teams.
He is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Physical Security Professional (PSP) and a State of Texas licensed Personal Protection Officer (PPO). Erick is certified in first aid, trauma care, and maintains advanced weapons and protective-skills training.
Simply put: Erick helps organizations and individuals feel confident, prepared, and resilient—no matter what threats they face.
